HOW IT WORKS
1. BOOK YOUR BATTLE
Choose your package, date, time, and location. A member of our team will confirm availability and secure the date.
2. WE SET UP THE FIELD
On the day of the event, our team notifies you when we're on our way and arrives early with everything needed to create the battle zone.
3. PLAYERS GEAR UP
Each player gets a laser rifle and headband sensor. Our game master explains the rules, teams, and game modes before play begins.
4. LET THE BATTLE BEGIN
Players run, hide, dodge, and tag their opponents in fast-paced laser tag games. Several game modes Including team battle, capture the flag, and more are played!

This isn’t toy-store laser tag. At Up North Battle Co., we use professional-grade laser tag equipment designed to create a realistic, immersive battle experience — far beyond the typical arcade-style setup. Unlike the lightweight plastic systems most people associate with laser tag, our gear is built on technology that helps create an experience unlike any other.
TACTICAL LASER RIFLES
Our commercial-grade tactical rifles deliver a realistic and immersive experience far beyond traditional laser tag equipment. Each rifle features a built-in dot scope, realistic sound effects, long-range accuracy, and responsive gameplay technology for fast-paced, competitive action. Lightweight and easy to handle, the rifles are designed for reliable outdoor performance and nonstop gameplay.
SENSOR HEADBANDS
Our lightweight sensor headbands eliminate the need for bulky laser tag vests, creating a more comfortable and realistic experience for every player. The headbands are adjustable, easy to wear, and designed for fast-paced movement, allowing players to run, dodge, and take cover without restrictive gear slowing them down. Built-in sensors provide accurate hit detection while keeping gameplay simple, immersive, and competitive for players of all ages.
UTILITY BOXES
Interactive utility boxes add reload stations, objectives, and strategic gameplay elements to every match. This allows us to bring several gaming modes to the battlefield including King Of The Hill, Domination, Capture The Flag, Bomb Defuse, and more!
INFLATABLE BUNKERS
Our commercial-grade inflatable bunkers transform parks, backyards, schools, churches, and open fields into a full tactical battlefield. Multiple bunker shapes and layouts create realistic cover, strategic movement, and nonstop action while maintaining a safe playing environment for all ages.

Up North Battle Co proudly serves all of Northern Michigan with mobile laser tag experiences delivered directly to your location. From Traverse City to Petoskey, Cadillac, Gaylord, Kalkaska, Charlevoix, Elk Rapids, and beyond — we bring the battlefield to you.
We are based out of Traverse City, Michigan, and all package pricing includes travel within a 20-mile travel distance. Events located beyond 20 miles from Traverse City will incur an additional travel fee of $5/mile. Use map below to determine exact travel distance to your location.
Don’t have the space or worried about the weather? We got you covered! We partner with local indoor facilities in Traverse City that have open turf areas, giving you a controlled, all-weather environment to play. It’s the same high-energy, action-packed laser tag experience—just with the added comfort of a dedicated indoor space. Perfect for colder months, rainy days, or anyone looking for a more contained setup, these indoor options make it easy to host an unforgettable event without worrying about the elements or space limitations. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT AGES IS THIS FOR?
There is no set minimum age, however we recommend a minimum of 6 years of age as it can be difficult for players younger than this to handle the laser gun.
HOW MUCH SPACE DO I NEED?
A backyard, park, or open space works great. Ideally a basketball court size area will work. We can help determine if your space works.
HOW LONG DOES SET-UP TAKE?
Setup typically takes 45-50 minutes. We arrive early to be ready at your scheduled start time.
DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANYTHING?
No — we bring all equipment, including a generator for power if needed. Just provide a safe, open space for play.
IS LASER TAG SAFE?
Yes — our equipment uses infrared (similar to a TV remote). No projectiles, masks, or protective gear required.
DO YOU STAY AND RUN THE GAMES?
Yes — a host is included to organize teams, explain rules, and run games.
CAN WE PLAY AT A PARK OR PUBLIC SPACE?
Yes, but you may need permission from the park or local municipality. We recommend checking ahead.
DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
Yes — a $150 deposit is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before the event.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Deposits can be applied to a rescheduled date with at least a 48 hour notice. We will work with you to reschedule in the event of weather.
CAN YOU OFFER INDOOR FACILITIES FOR OUR PARTY?
Yes! If weather doesn’t cooperate or you don’t have the space for a full outdoor setup, we can bring the battle indoors. We partner with local indoor facilities that feature open turf areas, giving you a controlled, all-weather environment to play. It’s the same high-energy, action-packed laser tag experience—just with the added comfort of a dedicated indoor space.
